CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making quality rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Each day the company strives to deliver value and help all their consumers reach their goals since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
Boom lifts come in 2 general kinds, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these models are normally hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the great alternative for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. Since the operator is able to maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These models come in propane, gas or diesel configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units carry out jobs that straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.
In order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required prior to using boom lifts in order to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for jobs needing lots of man power to be completed in much less time. These machinery have changed the material handling industry and have greatly increased production.
