Each and every component of a forklift has a particular function. Different components can be utilized to move the load vertically or horizontally.



Mast

The parts utilized to lower and lift the load is called the forklift mast. There are different types of masts used for lifting loads to different heights: duplex, triplex, quad and simplex.



Power Supply

Cab

Frame

Carrying all the largest forklift components is the frame of the truck. This consists of the counterweights located at the back which prevents the truck from tipping over when loaded. The frame includes the overhead guard that protects the operator. The undercarriage holds the wheels, driveshaft and axles.
