Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
Terex offers Bi-Energy and Genie DC machines which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial settings where the machinery needs to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and flexibility of a diesel powered generator with a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Several of the key features provided by this combination consist of up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Also, the zero tail-swing provided by most units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Drive controls and proportional lift controls also offer smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system provides emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machinery by Terex are great for both outdoor and indoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this model is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machines on most modes have an articulating boom that provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machines are great in narrow or small places. In addition, they offer supreme power, excellent torque and terrain and grade maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet overall too. Most models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom models are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
