Specifications of Clark Forklifts
Types
Cushion trucks, narrow aisles and pneumatic trucks are only among the various kinds of forklift trucks manufactured by Clark. The various types differ in terms of the way they operate. For instance, heavy-duty forklifts used for construction and agriculture are powered by an internal combustible engine. Narrow aisle kinds designed for use inside warehouses and other confined spaces operate on rechargeable battery.

The lifting capacity of Clark forklift trucks varies according to the type. Forklifts which are battery-powered have a range from 1100-3000 kilograms, depending on the model. For a greater capacity range, the internal combustion kinds are recommended. They could carry from 1400-8000 kilograms.
Engine
Clark electrically-powered forklift trucks run on AC battery cells, either 36 volt or 48 volt. The internal combustible engine types have 52 to 100 horsepower engines. The IC types have automatic transmission with single-speed, two-speed or three-speed kinds.

The center of the forklift is the frame/cab assembly. This includes the operator's overhead protective cover, the seat and the controls. The frame includes the fuel tank, engine, transmission, trans-axle and wheels.
