Most mishaps are attributed to employees who are not correctly trained. Employers are responsible for making certain that staff who are using the forklift are properly trained in safety and risks. Never let anybody on a forklift who isn't correctly trained to utilize the forklift. Your business should develop and post in a place which is visible all forklift safety procedures.
Staff must have a positive attitude when they go through training, rather than doing it just because they are required to. You as the employer must help workers understand the importance of correct training. Let them realize that they could kill or injure not only themselves, but other individuals, if they make mistakes. It is up to you to ensure that all your staff go through training seriously.
